How Much Does It Cost to Charter a Yacht?

The price depends on:
Length of the charter - Most charters are weekly on a seven-night basis, with your preferred start and end dates. During low seasons or for boats that offer shorter-term charters, there will be different rates if your dates fall over a weekend or you are prepared to fill a gap between other bookings.
Location - Will your yacht charter be out in the Great Barrier Reef or a cheaper location.
Size of yacht - The larger the yacht, the higher the weekly charter rates.
Base rate & advanced provisioning allowance
Most yachts list the base charter price. You should budget an additional 50-55% as an estimate of your Advanced Provisioning Allowance, fuel, taxes, and crew gratuity to get an estimate of the all-inclusive price. For example, if your yacht’s base rate is $70,000 a week, add roughly $38,500 (55%) giving a total of $108,500 for the week.
Daily charters
Some boats offer day charters. The price depends on the location, number of guests, whether it is a half day or full day charter, and what “toys” you want eg jet skis, snorkelling, or diving equipment. Also, if you are primarily using the yacht as a venue for a sales event or party, provisioning costs may be higher while fuel and crew costs may be lower.
Last-minute charters
Some boats may reduce the price of their weekly rate if they want to “fill a gap” between two other charters. If you are flexible with where you go and for how many days, you may be able to find some good deals for your last-minute charters.
